When a research group in Antarctica discovers a strange and previously unknown substance which could hold the key to life, the universe and Charles Darwin's beard . . . Lara is halfway round the world in India searching for a lost artefact the origin of which is shrouded in mystery. Local legends tell of its immense power, but at the time, Lara has no idea of the significance of finding such a treasure.

With a storyline bound up in meteors, a voyage of exploration undertaken centuries before, a dead sailor's journal and 4 very powerful-sounding objets d'art - Tomb Raider III is back. Featuring a non-linear plot structure and 5 different worlds to explore, Lara is going to have to improve her skills to the max to make it through this one intact.

Her enemies, as always are never far away, and now improved AI has given them the pack instinct - the hungry pack instinct. Luckily, the game's designers have been thoughtful enough to include some added escape mechanisms - now there's the crawl, the monkey swing and the speed dash to get you out of those close scrapes . . .and into the next!

Your task in Tomb Raider III is to solve the mystery of the 4 artefacts located in various places about the globe. When you complete the first part of the adventure in India, the next 3 can be played in any order (Area 51, South Pacific or London) before you face the final challenge of the frozen wastes of Antarctica.

With new lighting effects, new polygon architecture allowing a greater variety of structures in the game, and improved water effects, visually, Tomb Raider III will blow you away.
