Tekken 2 features 25 fighters competing in a martial arts tournament. This sequel features a variety of new moves, characters, backgrounds and light sourcing. Gameplay modes include Arcade, Tournament, Survival, and Practice.

Two years have passed since the first Iron Fist Tournament took place. Back then it was Heihachi's own son Kazuya Mishima who triumphed against him in unarmed combat and then tossed his father into a chasm and to his doom . . .

. . .Or so he thought, as there have been reports of Heihachi's escape from the clutches of death, and that now his mind is filled with nought but the thirst for the blood of his son.

Kazuya's enemies are now many, and he soon realises that by organising a second Iron Fist Tournament they would destroy themselves almost completely, and that he could then mop up the pieces using his superior fighting skills. Ready your stance - Tekken 2 is about to begin.

Tekken, regarded by many as the best beat-'em-up ever to grace our screens, was improved in every way to produce Tekken 2. The tally of fighters available now amounts to an incredible 24, although you're going to have to work hard to find them all!

Old favourites Paul, Nina, Law, King, Jack, Michelle and Yoshimitsu are back, all with their own motives for the ultimate demise of Kazuya.

Tekken 2 also welcomes a few new faces into the fold: Lei WuLong - Member of the Hong Kong International Police force, and whose partner was recently 'retired' by one of Kazuya's cronies, and Jun Kazama - Wild Life Protection Agent, who has been keeping an eye on Kazuya's Rare Species Export Division for some time now.

Tekken 2 includes an amazing array of options that weren't even included in the coin-op, such as the Team Battle mode where any number of people can team up for some seriously competitive combat, and the amazing - never seen before - Virtual Mode which enables you to see your opponent head-on, looking through your own fighters body! "Counter throws" have also been added into the moves.
