Known as Soul Edge in arcades, SoulBlade is the Playstation conversion of the 3D weapons-based fighting title. 10 characters battle each other one-on-one in an effort to acquire the legendary "SoulBlade" for their own reasons.

In a world ravaged by pirates and decimated by war, 10 warriors trek across the globe in a quest for the ultimate weapon - the legendary Soul Edge! Some are driven by greed, some by honour, but all have their own reasons why they must be the first to find the ultimate weapon.

SoulBlade's ten central characters all have detailed histories, individual styles of combat and motives which drive them on through their quest, and they can be selected to play in either good or evil playing styles. There are five playable hidden characters and each character has a vast array of special moves and techniques, and over 70 weapons to choose from along the way.

The standard Arcade play mode features individual, interactive end-game sequences tailored to fit the game events for the chosen character whilst the "Edge Master" quest mode takes the form of a storybook that grows with each successive battle.

SoulBlade uses some innovative light-sourcing techniques, fully motion-captured characters with fluid movement and is set in a variety of 3D arenas around the globe. And it has an amazing cinematic introduction!

New features include a training, team battle and Edge Master mode.
