    Full Description

You've tried fighting with humans, now try it with dinosaurs! Go head to head with your favourite dinosaur as you rip flesh out of your opponent.

It's very difficult to do anything new or different with the fighting game genre, with a select few ruling the roost, the PlayStation being no exception with the all-encompassing might of Tekken. It is nice when somebody does try and buck the trend, and Electronic Arts, along with DreamWorks Interactive have weighed into the fighting ring with the Jurassic Park franchise, resulting in Warpath.

Fighting dinosaurs? Yes that's right. A motley collection of big lizards that rip, claw, tear, bite, kick, jump and roar. Choose from one player Arcade Mode or the two player Versus option, and you can go into battle with anything from the 14 strong selection of reptiles on offer, including Acro, Anky, Giga, Mega-Raptor and, everyone's favourite, the mighty T-Rex. There are 10 playing arenas, evoking the locations of Jurassic Park and sequel The Lost World. Pick your dino and then go for it, smashing your through the best out of three rounds of pre-historic violence.

Aside from the basic player options, you can access the Jurassic Park museum, which gives a run down of the various species, a tag team option, and the practice arena where the player gets to beat up on a defenceless reptile. Warpath looks good and is very smooth, high in the atmosphere stakes. At the end of the day though, the novelty value of having big lizards to knock around the ring will not disguise the fact this is a basic, run of the mill fighting game.

-Music stripped right from the Jurassic Park films and the sound effects reflect the overall feel of the game

-14 unique Dinosaurs including T-Rex & Mega Raptor.

-Over 10 fighting arenas from Jurassic Park & Lost World.

    -Edible power-ups and destructible environments.

    -Intense 1 & 2 player action
